                      For the past few weeks we have been working on our driftwood art. 

        It has been so much fun making our driftwood art. We have made a mobile that says friends with beads on the top peace of wood, and the second peace has blue and pink beads and the shells have green and pink beads. It looks amazing we were going to wright friendship on it but there was not enough room on it so we did not do that. It still looks cool though.

       WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON OUR VIRTUAL A & P SHOW FOR THE PAST 3              WEEKS. WITH ELIZABETH IT HAS BEEN SO MUCH FUN. MY BUDDIES HAVE BEEN SARSHA AND CHARLI THEY ARE GREAT BUDDIES TO WORK WITH THEY ARE FUNNY                                                 AND CALM AT THE SAME TIME.

Today we had to make an art work.

I made a bunch of flowers in a vase.

We made it on a Chromebook 

The app was called. Art colouring book.

I have made one more tessellation it is a 

semi-regular because it has more than 2 shapes

we had to make a tessellation there are 2 different types of tessellations

a semi-regular and a regular. I made a semi-regular because it has 2 different 

shapes in it. The regular only has 1 shape in it.

                                                 The wetlands

The wetland was usual 

enough, It had a pond,trees,

bushes, a sky paradise shelducks

 do what paradise shelducks mostly 

do Graze on grass,swim,sleep 

and fly and doing nothing at all.

                You are walking in Travis wetlands and you find two ducks

 one with a white head and one with a dark Gray head You have found 

a paradise shelduck  it eats? grass, clover, aquatic vegetation and crops of peas or grain. 

     its habitat is New Zealand and its conservation status is Least Concern 

      It is not endangered 

                                   

       We should look after them so they don't get endangered

       We can take care of them by not feeding them human food and not killing them

Tadorna variegata is a large goose-like duck endemic to New Zealand. 

          

 

ULTRA FRIS

 So we had a task to make a logo for ultra Frisbee. I had a lot of fun. I made one to represent Sarsha's  sister because she is having a baby.  we want it to be a girl so I made this Frisbee gender thing we are all hoping for a girl if its not we will still be super happy for her any way.

 We made some food webs it was so fun we                                                                                                        just got a big piece                                                                                                                                              of paper and some pictures                                                                                                                                 of the beach animals.

Travis wetlands

 At Travis wetlands there were bugs in  the water, there were like 5 duck                                                                                               types that we saw and lots of Pukeko just roaming the place. In the water there are bugs, eels,                                                           swans, ducks and geese. There are lots of plants in the wetlands there are like 500                                                                  different types of them. There are so many bug types in the wet lands there are about                                                                     1000 different types there. We saw a lot of bugs. The woman that helped us around and                                                                         did the activities with us were so lovely. we got to go bug fishing with a sift on a stick we                                                                 found about 4 different types it was amazing. We also got to use binoculars to find the different                                               types of ducks.

yesterday we went to the beach,

We learnt about the sand dunes. We also learnt about the animals

 and plants that live on them. I learnt that the sand hoppers live in the seaweed 
and when you lift up the seaweed they jump out and jump around. 
After we got a turn to make our own mini 

sand dunes. In the groups we were allowed to have a group of 3-4 people. 

In my group I had Minttu, Teri, Mania and me. we had a great time.

My shoe

We have been working on making a shoe for the past two weeks. 

Mine is light purple dark purple and light green. It has no tie laces, 

spikes for hikes, button for the spikes and they are waterproof shoes. 

They are only $35 and they will come with the batteries.

when i was younger

When I was younger in the year 2020 the whole world went into lock down. We all had to stay home and we could not go to the shops, all we could do was walk and stay home. We were in lock down for 7 weeks, but our very amazing prime minister help us all and almost all of us stayed safe. During lock down i learnt how to do my makeup properly it was so fun and i could put makeup on every day. I felt happy anxious and worried happy because i didn't  have to get dressed straight away, anxious because i didn’t know what tomorrow would be like, worried because i did not know when i would see my friends again. I was in lock down with my mum dad sisters and pets. I enjoyed being in lock down because i could do my work when i felt like it. I was just wondering how this all started. I wouldn't change anything i did during lock down.

Godley Heads- WW2 gun replacements

     

Bunkers

Today we went for a walk with my family up the Godley heads to look at all the ww2 gun replacements. I liked seeing the dolphins. We found them halfway up .We used binoculars to see them. It was amazing. I had never seen dolphins in the sea. I have only ever seen them in Australia.

I didn’t like going down in the bunkers because they were cold, wet and scary. I liked looking at all the army murals to see all the army paintings. I liked seeing where the gun used to be stored and looking in all the windows.

A Bad Case Of Stripes

A Bad Case of Stripes

This story was about a girl, Camilla Cream who got the bad case of stripes. She loves Lima beans but didn't eat them because her friends did like them. She tried on 40 different clothes and the stripes appeared all over her body. She got bullied and laughed at school by all her friends. She stayed at home and the doctor brought over 4 people to help her but they couldn't help her. then the doctor brought 2 more people over and they couldn't solve it. They asked a lady to come over and she also couldn't help but said just lay there and breathe and become one with your room and then Camilla turned into her room. Then another lady came to the door and did a little knock and she said she thinks she could solve the stripes. She pulled out a jar of green beans from her bag and said to Camilla these are lima beans. Camilla said yuck i don't like lima beans, no one does. I lady started to walk away and Camilla said wait i love lima beans. The lady put a handful of beans in her mouth but the mouth was her bed and the stripes were gone.


This story was funny because lots of people tried to help Camilla make her stripes go away but they couldn't. I also liked how Camilla said she didn't want the Lima beans, But she was lying.

how to make a kite

How to make a kite

1.you will need some paper 

2.get 2 sticks one smaller than the other 

3.cut the paper in a diamond shape the same size as your sticks

4.tape the stick to the paper 

5.get some string and tape it to the kite

6.get a bigger stick  and rap the string around it once

7.than tape it on the big stick 

8.go fly it outside
