Pool party
On Wednesday we had a pool party because we didn't go to Jelly park. I wasn't going to go in But it got to hot just sitting there so I went and got changed and then got in the pool. Me and Camryn Got out of the pool early. It was great fun after I got in. I played with Camryn and Charlotte the whole time.
Last day of tech
On Thursday we had the last day of tech. For robotics we just did coding on the computers. And at cooking we baked cookies they we so good we were only aloud one little container of add in stuff I took M&Ms and Charlotte Took Mini Marshmallows. We then halfed the things we got so we had M&Ms and Mini Marshmallows. We only cooked a little bit of the cookie dough and just ate the rest because it had no egg in the recipe.
Rumbusatification
On Friday we had Rumbustaification. Me, Ava, Breanna, Maria, and Brook had a photo together. We all dressed up in funny clothes to have the photo in. I dressed up in a Santa hat and funny glasses.
The next thing we all did was went and watched the talent show. We watched a circus act. It was really cool.
The next thing that me Charlotte and Camryn did was went and watched the karaoke. It was funny and really cool.
Belonging Art project update
For art I have done 2 horse drawings. If you are wondering how this ties in with belonging it's because I love horses, I go horse riding every Thursday (if i'm not sick or if its not raining) I just feel that I belong with horses. I have also ridden then since i was like 7 and now i'm 12.

Choice & challenge
Every Friday Minttu, Mya, Eartha and I go down to the little kids class and make play dough. We teach years 0-3's. It can be hard sometimes but not that hard that we can’t handle it. But when making play dough it's not just fun. The kids are also learning. And so am I. Every Friday I am learning more about the kids and what they like to do, what colors they like. I also learned that little kids love glitter. It is great fun. I think if I get the choice I’ll do it next year.
Cross country
On cross country day we got told that we had to do it. It was at that moment I thought I was going to die.
(don’t worry I didn’t die) Cross country is one of my least favorite things in the whole world. I dread that day every year. When I used to run cross country last year I only had to run 2 laps of the bike track, but now I have to run 3 laps of the whole school. But because I had to do it I did it and even though I didn’t place it doesn't matter I still participated in one of the things I dread the most.
Running Assemblies
On the last assembly of term last year I ran the assembly. I was really nervous when I was practicing, before doing it in front of everyone. This year Mya and I are about to run our first assembly of the year. It is this Friday. I am still nervous this time but I think I'll be fine when I’m up on stage.
Camp
At camp I had the best time. My friends and I slept in a tent outside. We did lots of activities. Such as raft building, search and rescue, fire and hut building, high ropes and many more. My favorite activity was high ropes. It was terrifying but I trusted my friends. They were in charge of the rope so I wouldn't fall.
Growing
I think I have grown a lot this year being with all my friends. It also helps being in a chilled environment. It helps me think and helps me do my work faster. I love this year because I feel I belong in this class.
Choice & challenge

They are also learning to share because when all of the groups are finished making their batches of play dough and they all have there on little pieces they can go around to the other tables and trade a bit of their play dough for a bit of the other group's play dough.

On cross country day we got told that we had to do it. It was at that moment I thought I was going to die.

Language Update
In languages Me and Minttu have made a new game, It is a board game. On it we put like answer a card, go back one, go forwards 4 and many more.
Today on duolingo I had to redo one of my lessons because the egg cracked, Thats because I don't go on duolingo enough.
We have yet again done more dehydrating. But this time we have made a meal, Not just random things we wanted to try. This time we did rice, ham, chicken, bacon, a bean, a mushroom, carrots and grapes. This time everything dehydrated and worked but just as we thought the rice just went to uncooked rice, But it was a bit softer than raw rice. We still enjoyed it though.
We also have a new member Eartha. And we don't yet have a video but i'll post it when we have finished editing it.
Camp
Empathy
On the second night Me and Eartha went to the bathroom and in the bathroom she found that her t-shirt was on the bathroom floor. Then she wanted to put it in the cabin we were keeping our luggage in because we were sleeping in a tent. But on our way to the cabin she told me that she saw someone that was like all white like a ghost. At first I thought she was lying but then she got really scared and was almost in tears. At that point I believed her. We went back to the tent and I told her to wait a little and if she got more scared we would go sleep in the hall. So then I fell asleep and then just Minttu and Eartha were awake then she woke me up and told me to wake Mya up so I did. Just as Mya was Waking up Minttu, Eartha and Sitia went to wake up Mr Redmond. Then Mya started crying it was only me and Mya in the tent I was looking after Mya. We were both holding torches and shaking. Then Mr Redmond came and helped us move all our stuff in to the hall. Then we all fell asleep. That's the end of our terrible night.
Self-managing
I was self-managing when I was listening to the leader and then did the exact same thing when I was told to. Like when I was at raft building It was me and Minttu doing all the right stuff when we were told to. We were watching the leader doing the knots the we coped exactly. Even when we struggled we didn't give up we just asked for help then we were okay. Me and Minttu did most of the work then there was Eartha and Ashton doing all the wrong knots so it was never going to going the water, But we couldn't go in the water because the water was to rough to take it out so we just had to pull it apart.
Resilience
I showed Resilience when we were at High Ropes because I am scared of height's I thought this would help but it made me more scared of height's. I tried to do three of them but I didn't make it very far because I was really scared. That would be about all I did there other than the warm up but that's it.
Belonging
Belonging in a group help me throughout the camp because it made me feel happy to be with all my friends. I trusted them to hold me up at high ropes, And to be in a tent with them it helped me to not fell stressed out and home sick it made me feel calm. It was a great experience going on a school camp and being able to sleep in a tent. All the activities were great fun in a group with all my friends.

Problem
You can not use foods that have been processed a lot. They don’t work, They just get warm and soft.
Science
The science in dehydrating is that things with moisture will change shape in the dehydrator. It also makes it taste a lot different because it takes all the moisture out of the food in the dehydrator.
Update
We will be making a meal with the dehydrator. We will be dehydrating the stuff listed below. We have chosen food that we know hasn't been processed a lot. But we still don’t know if it will work, So we are still testing stuff.

Tech-cooking and wood works
Today we went to tech for the first time after lock down. I was still in the same classes as last time. We will just be getting a bit more time in these classes next term.
Cooking
Today for cooking I made chicken kebabs on rice. To make them we got our supplies on our tables. Then we got our meat boards out and cut our little piece of chicken. Then if we wanted to we could add vegetables. Then we cooked them. The only problem was the kebabs didn't fit in the little containers we got given to use. so we just took the kebabs apart and put the chicken and vegetables on the rice.
Wood works
Today in wood works we got out our books and designed the box we are going to make. We were supposed to cut out the wood but we didn't have enough time to. My box is going to be a rectangle kind of shape, with a lid, hider lid thing with a charger hole. That's all I got done today.

We will be making a cooking show on how to dehydrate food. Even when we have no clue what to do.
On Friday I made a dog lead for Fletcher. It was fun and very hard to make.
How to make:
You will need 9 long pieces of yarn and any clip that will fit on your dogs collar
Now this is the hard part you will need three groups of three (of yarn) With the first lot of three you will need to plate it and when you get near the end you will need to put the clip on the end and then finish the plate off then tie it. (repeat with the other two lots of three as well) Then with the three plates you will plate them together. Then tie a handle at the top After that is done you'll need to get 2 long pieces of yarn and wrap one till it covers up the whole end where the clip is but not over the clip and do the same thin up by the handle but not over the handle.
that is how to make a home made dog lead.

On fathers day I woke up at 7:40 am to make mum and dad breakfast in bed. First we went down to see dad and give him his cards and chocolate. Then I got to making bacon eggs and hash browns on toast. With coffee and tea of coarse. They loved it. Later on at 11:30 am we biked to nanas for fathers day morning tea. There was so many yummy things including my favorite thing nanas home made club sandwiches, There the best. When it was time for dinner me and Taylor cooked burgers. They were so good we cooked the venison patties on the BBQ. They turned out amazing he really enjoyed them too. even though he said he'd have loved to be in the kitchen cooking he loved them.
Going to see the sun rise
On Saturday morning at 6:30 am my mum woke us all u and we had to quickly get dressed and in the car. when we got there my nana and grandad were all ready there. when we got the the sky was orange but it wasn't the sun yet. We waited about ten minutes for the sun to start rising. But when it did it was beautiful. We took Fletcher in the sun rise he looked all black and it was so cute the pictures of him. Then we got home i expected to be super tired but I was awake and wasn't going back to sleep. Later that day me and dad went around to my other nanas to get some venison because we ran out of it. Then a few hours later my nana biked around to see us. At that time I had just fallen asleep when my mum came in and tickled my feet. When it was dinner time me and dad cooked chicken drums on the BBQ they were so good.

My fun sport day
Today we had planed to have a fun sport day. We started by biking to the park. We had so much planed and got it all done before lunch. First we went to the park to play tennis, It was probably my favorite thing. Then we were still at the park we played some basket ball, I didn't really like it. But then we biked a bit round the corner to play Frisbee golf. I really liked it, I got the Frisbee in two times. The next thing we went to do was soccer my Mum and Lilia were on a team and Taylor and I were on a team. Me and Taylor got no goals. Mum and Lilia got 2 goals. Then after that we just went and had a play on the bike track and that is what we did for the morning.

Dog Treats
Today I made dog treats for my dog Fletcher. I found a recipe on google, Then went to see if we had all the ingredients. Then after I knew I had all the ingredients I got to making and baking. I really enjoyed it. Because I love baking. He definitely loved them. I was tempted to try them but I didn't because I don't think the carrot and apple together.
On Thursday we did a online quiz it was live and fun. The guy that ran it was really funny. There was almost 300 people online doing the quiz too. The questions really had me thinking because they were really hard. Most of them we got wrong. Then on Friday we did another quiz from a different person but we got 17/30 right. These questions were a bit easier but were still quite hard.
On Saturday we had a big zoom call with my uncle aunt cousins nana and grandad. Uncle showed us some very funny pictures of him from when he was younger. We had to dress up in something bright so we all just put on dads shirts. The theme was loud and ugly. It was on at 8:15pm. my dad got us lollies to have they were gummie lifesavers and they were good. we also had coke. On sunday we drove to uncles house to give him his cards and we gave him some of the ginger bread cookies. But we had to stay far away from them.
So far every day during lock down I have been for a walk or a bike ride. Sometimes I even go out for two bike rides a day. One day I biked all the way to the Avon rowing club and all the way home it was fun. Then a few day later me and mum did kind of the same thing but I biked again and mum ran. we went to the Avon rowing club and then past pakn save and past Chisnallwood and home. It was so fun and it was 7 ks Then later that day we biked to my nanas with the dog to pick up a puzzle and the cards for my uncle.
Ginger bread men
On Saturday I made Ginger bread men. I made the cookie dough and then me and my sisters and I got to decorate 7 each. After they all came out of the oven and were cooling down I made all the icing. We only had three colours pink, blue and yellow. So I mixed pink and blue to make purple, yellow and blue to make green and yellow and pink to make orange. So by the end I went from three colours to six colours. Then we got some spoons and got decorating.

For science we have been making an interview on Mae Jemison. We had to think of questions and then goggle search up for the answers. after we got the answers we had to write a 10 question interview. After we had finished writing down all the questions we went into the small breakout room. We had the blue part of the wall for the background so we could do a blue screen and ad in a special background of our choice. we have finished the filming just today we will ad the background in it. In my group I have Minttu and Mya. At the start of the filming me and Minttu were the interviewers and Mya was Mae Jemison. But then me and Mya switched roles, and in the end I was Mae Jemison and Minttu and Mya were the interviewers.

My space stop motion
Science
For science this term I am working with Minttu, Mya and Aliana. We had to make a little model using 1 polystyrene ball, 1 paper clip, 1 peace of paper and some tape. then we put it all together and on the polystyrene ball we had to draw countries on it. the last part is pretty easy because you just need to make a stop motion on the the earth moves around the sun. so we had to get a light and use it as the light.
Term three goals

How to tell If a number can be divided by 6

here is a small example:
the number 372 can be divided by six because its an even number and it can be divided by 2 because anything that can be divided by 6 can be divided by 2.
What I learned today in Japanese
Today I learned some colour's the ones I learned were red, blue and white. I also learned some simple words like a, n, yo, six, seven and many more.
I am really enjoying learning a new language.
Divisibility rules
Take any 2 digit number like 12 for example then split the number so it would be 1 and 2 so you would do 1+2=3 ➗ 3 would work.
and one that wouldn't work was 22 because 2+2=4➗ 3 just would not work because there is no answer to the question.
Minttu's birthday
Tommorw I am going to Minttu's house for her birthday I am so exited. We are doing lazer strike and a arcade I have never played lazer strike before. It is a sleepover and we are having home made burgers for dinner, I love home made burgers. Then at night time we are watching anime demon slayer the movie. Then in the morning we will have breakfast. Then chill for a bit and then we will go home around 10.30-11.00.
Last weekend Eartha, Mya and I went shopping together to get her presents.
Spencer park run
Yesterday most of our class went for a walk from Broad park to Spencer park. we took the cars to Broad park and we walk and ran the whole way to Spencer park it was 7 km. Some of the people walked the whole way there and most walked/ran there and some ran the whole way there. I was in a walk/run group with my mum she was the leader of my group. In my group there was about 8 people that came in my mum's group.
When we started I was so exited but then the tracks got harder and harder. My legs were unpleasantly sore I felt like my legs were just going to stop working but I carried on and finished the run.
It took like only 1 hour 30 minutes to do the whole 7 km's it felt like so much longer than that. When we were about half way there it started to drizzle on us. When it was raining I was so hot but then I got cold but not freezing.
Then we got to the 6 km sign and at that point we new we were close then about 10-15 minutes later we were at Spencer park. after a long walk we spent the afternoon playing on the playground eating sausages. We were allowed to go to the shop so mum gave me $1 and everything was so cheap so I came back with 6 things in my pocket.
Then mum got taken to broad park to pick up her car so she could help bring the kids back to school. Then we got back to school and mum had to go pick up 1 more lot of kids. When she got back I got to go home early.
When I got home I was in so much pain I could barely walk Then I sat down for the rest of the afternoon.
Japanese
For the rest of the term we had to pick a topic to learn about I chose language. I am going to learn Japanese. So far I have Been playing a game called duolingo to help me learn Japanese it is so fun. So far I have learnt some numbers and some letters. That's all I have done so far
Hero summary
Today for literacy we had to do a movie thing we had to do it in buddies I was with Minttu. The movie we chose was Alice in wonder land. We had to think of things that went with the things on the paper.
On the paper was a star and in the corners of the star were things like a hero, status quo, return, crisis and I think one more thing but I cant remember.

In Te Reo Maori we have been learning greetings and farewell some of the stuff we have been learning in how to say hello some of the ways are. Tēnā Koe (hello to one person) Tēnā Korua (hello to two people) and Tēnā Koutou (hello to three+ people)

My goals
At the start of the year we had to fill out a form it was about belonging there was lots of different thing we had to fill out. One of the things we filled out was what we wanted to achieve at school this year. My things I wrote were writing my three blog posts and new friends. Most of the time I finish writing my blogs but sometime I only finish one blog.
I have made many new friends some of them were already had but I just got closer to them so we talk a lot more.
Today my math group had to do a division test to test our skill of division. The green squares are the ones I got right. And the red are the ones I got wrong.

On may 12th I made this graph to find out what was the most popular colour/colours. I choose to do it by gender. my questions were: whats your fav colour and what gender are you. conclusion: girls like more colours than boys do.
For inquiry this week we have been working on sealing and whaling.
Sealing is when people go and kill seals just for their fur.
Whaling is when people go and kill whales just for their oil.
Tumahana Performance
On Monday 29/02/2021 we went on a bus into town we headed to Margaret Mahy. But we didn't just get to play we had to find things to Learn about that were on our paper. But the twist was we did not know where the things were so we had to go find them.
Then when we were finished we got to play. Then we had to go to the town hall to watch our performance. It was really cool we got to sit on the second floor. Sometimes it was a little scary when there was a lady who climbed up the silk and dropped herself and was just hanging from one of her feet.
Takaroa was the son Rakinui was the father and the daughter was Tane Mahuta and papatuanuku was the mother.

For the past week we have been working on art, for art we had to draw a portrait. I used a pen, pencil and colored pencil. In the background I have drawn dogs fish and snails because those are the pets I have and I love them.

Today our class got to go to Christchurch school of Gymnastics. It was really fun we got to do lots of rotations so we got to do all the stuff.
The first thing I did was the Trampoline and the foam pit. We had to do lots of cool things on the trampoline the first thing was 5 big jumps then jump it the foam pit, the next thing was jumping while doing 3 spins then spin into the foam pit, the last thing was doing a tuck jump a straddle then a pike jump then tuck jump into the foam pit.
The next thing I did was the floor we had to do many things on the floor we had to do planks with out feet on a foam mat, Then with a foam mat even bigger we had to have our legs on top of that and our hands on the floor and crawl along, The next one was a hand stand on a really big foam mat the hive had stand bunny butt kicks then cart wheels.
The next thing was the bars. we had to many things on them the first one was a tuck while holding the bar, next we had to do the fun one we had to put our feet in a really really big rubber band stick our bottoms out and take our feet off the floor and swing, after another tuck one, then a hand stand with the rings.
Then I did the beams it was kind of hard the first thing we had to do was easy we just had to walk across it, walking backwards on the beam and then we had to the bear walk across.
The last thing I did was the skinny trampoline, we had to do lots of things on this one we did just the normal jump with our hands in the air, and many many more.
What I like about Tangaroa
I have had a great time in Tangaroa so far it is so different from our old class but I like it. I am settling in well. our work is not that hard I find a little bit of it hard but not much.
I like how we have to do 3 blog posts a week I sometimes struggle on what to write but I always seem to figure it out even though it took me 3-5 minutes to figure it out. I like writing but only on the chrome books not on paper.
Garden to table group
I am in the garden to table group. We go to the garden do weeding planting cooking and get to eat fruit. It is a great way to spend the end of the day in the garden doing work. Eartha, Minttu and me got to write on white posts and write the names of the things we are planting. We have planted and weeded a lot already we have only been out to the garden about 10 times and 1 time cooking so that's about 11 time's then but only 10 in the garden.

Tennis: I want to get better at tennis so I can move up groups
Running: I want to be able to run around the bike track without stopping
Tyre of wor: I want to get better and faster so I can get the tyre before the other person dose
Confidence coarse: I want to get better at the confidence coarse so I can do the hole thing and not do it the way I can
Fitness and confidantes coarse
Today for fitness we did more with the tyre's. It was fun my favorite was where we had two teams of 24 people. There was a tyre in the middle of us and we got numbered from 1 to 24 I was 10. When Nogo called our number we had to run and grab the tyre but the other person with the same number had to run at the same time. So it was hard. I was versing James but I dragged him along the grass it was so fun. I was thinking that I was going to get dragged but no I had the fun dragging him.
We also had to do the confidantes coarse t was in the playground in front of our class. It was fun but hard but I tried. I did it all but three things. one of them was the tall rock climbing one we had to go up the non rock one and go down the rock one it was hard so I went up but ended up coming down the same way because it was to hard.
