My portrait

I have now made my real portrait I used poly line. 

I just took a photo of myself and used poly line to make 

the art. then I colored it in. Then I did the background. I put most of my pets in the background. I do have two more but I didn't ad them in.

Trip into town

 Tumahana Performance

On Monday 29/02/2021 we went on a bus into town we headed to Margaret Mahy. But we didn't just get to play we had to find things to Learn about that were on our paper. But the twist was we did not know where the things were so we had to go find them. 

Then when we were finished we got to play. Then we had to go to the town hall to watch our performance. It was really cool we got to sit on the second floor. Sometimes it was a little scary when there was a lady who climbed up the silk and  dropped herself and was just hanging from one of her feet. 

Takaroa was the son Rakinui was the father and the daughter was Tane Mahuta and papatuanuku was the mother.

Draft Portraits

For the past week we have been working on art, for art we had to draw a portrait. I used a pen, pencil and colored pencil. In the background I have drawn dogs fish and snails because those are the pets I have and I love them.  

Graphs

At school we have been working on graphs so I made this one about animals. The fist thing I did was write down animals and other. Then I asked people what their favourite animal is. Then above that I wrote the number of people above the animal they liked and if the animal wasn't their I put them above other. When I was making it I went around asking people what there favorite animal was. After I thought I had enough responses I made up the graph. It comes back as only 1 person likes birds and one person likes bunny's, 3 people like cats and 2 like dogs and 5 like other animals.

Gymnastics

 09/03/2021

Today our class got to go to Christchurch school of Gymnastics. It was really fun we got to do lots of rotations so we got to do all the stuff. 

The first thing I did was the Trampoline and the foam pit. We had to do lots of cool things on the trampoline the first thing was 5 big jumps then jump it the foam pit, the next thing was jumping while doing 3 spins then spin into the foam pit, the last thing was doing a tuck jump a straddle then a pike jump then tuck jump into the foam pit.

The next thing I did was the floor we had to do many things on the floor we had to do planks with out feet on a foam mat, Then with a foam mat even bigger we had to have our legs on top of that and our hands on the floor and crawl along, The next one was a hand stand on a really big foam mat the hive had stand bunny butt kicks then cart wheels. 

The next thing was the bars. we had to many things on them the first one was a tuck while holding the bar, next we had to do the fun one we had to put our feet in a really really big rubber band stick our bottoms out and take our feet off the floor and swing, after another tuck one, then a hand stand with the rings. 

Then I did the beams it was kind of hard the first thing we had to do was easy we just had to walk across it, walking  backwards on the beam and then we had to the bear walk across.

The last thing I did was the skinny trampoline, we had to do lots of things on this one we did just the normal jump with our hands in the air, and many many more.

What I like about Tangaroa

 What I like about Tangaroa

I have had a great time in Tangaroa so far it is so different from our old class but I like it. I am settling in well. our work is not that hard I find a little bit of it hard but not much. 

I like how we have to do 3 blog posts a week I sometimes struggle on what to write but I always seem to figure it out even though it took me 3-5 minutes to figure it out. I like writing but only on the chrome books not on paper. 

  

   

Garden to table group

I am in the garden to table group. We go to the garden do weeding planting cooking and get to eat fruit. It is a great way to spend the end of the day in the garden doing work. Eartha, Minttu and me got to write on white posts and write the names of the things we are planting. We have planted and weeded a lot already we have only been out to the garden about 10 times and 1 time cooking so that's about 11 time's then but only 10 in the garden.    

Times table test

 Today I did another times table test 

And this time I got 72% 

My goal is still Accuracy and fluency 

My next step will still be 80%

To do this I need 7 x 9 

I could of gotten more but I didn't have enough time.
